Portrait of Dr Naomi Gibson

Dr Naomi Gibson

I’m a UK-trained Clinical Psychologist (Gezondheidszorgpsycholoog- GZ Psycholoog in the Netherlands), and have been qualified and working in this field since 2017. I moved into private practice almost six years ago after a move to Amsterdam with my young family, and perinatal mental health has been the heart of my work ever since — supporting people through pregnancy, birth, and the enormous, often disorienting shift into parenthood.

I started Frame Practice because I wanted to build something bigger than what I could offer alone: a place where more people could get the kind of care I’d want for my own family, from psychologists I trust.

As founder and regiebehandelaar (directing practitioner), I’m responsible for and oversee all therapy provided at the practice. For some clients, that means working with me directly. For others, it means I’m closely involved behind the scenes supervising a carefully chosen team, so the same standard of care holds no matter who you’re sitting across from.

I draw from the following therapeutic modalities:

  • Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS)
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) / Attachment Informed EMDR
  • Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Emotion Focused (couples) Therapy
  • Polyvagal theory
